Hungarian Remembrance and Heritage Sites in the United Kingdom

Across the United Kingdom, there are numerous memorial sites connected to Hungarian history, culture, and the diaspora. These places not only commemorate past events, but also stand as symbols of the Hungarian community’s unity and the enduring legacy of its values.

Our aim is to gather and present these locations – whether they are plaques from the Second World War, memorial crosses honouring the heroes of the 1956 revolution, the graves of notable Hungarian historical figures, or statues and parks created through community initiatives.

This memorial map serves not only as a source of information, but also as a bridge between past and present – helping us to proudly preserve what our predecessors left behind and pass it on to future generations.

Join us in discovering the traces of Hungarian memory throughout the United Kingdom!
