Order of Vitéz Gala - Budapest
22nd March 2025

22nd of March. 2025
Great Success for the 2025 Order of Vitéz Gala.
The Order of Vitéz successfully organized its gala on 22rd. of March 2025, at the Corinthia Hotel Budapest. The event aimed to support the charitable work of the Order of Vitéz and expand its opportunities to provide assistance.
Due to high demand, the Corinthia Hotel Budapest hosted the Order of Vitéz Gala again this year. The event always offers a wonderful opportunity for members of the order from various parts of Hungary and beyond the borders to meet, converse, and enjoy themselves. Alongside the Hungarian members, many supporters of the Order of Vitéz, who are not formally part of the organization, also attended. Additionally, organizations cooperating with the Order of Vitéz, such as the Sovereign Order of Malta Hungarian Priory of the Knights Hospitaller, and descendants of historical noble families, were well represented.
The doors opened at 18:00, though some guests had arrived much earlier. After registration, attendees took their seats and engaged in conversations before the official opening.
By 19:00, the distinguished guests had taken their seats, and the evening’s celebrations began. First, the event’s host, Vitéz Varga Krisztina, Chairwoman, took the microphone to introduce the evening’s program. This was followed by a series of speeches. The first speech was delivered by the Grand Master of the Order of Vitéz, Vitéz Count Molnár-Gazsó János, who was also the host of the gala. He was followed by Vitéz Knight Pákh Imre, Deputy Grand Master, who also served as the honorary patron of the gala. These speeches had a significant impact on the audience, as everyone could feel the deeper purpose of the event beyond simply enjoying themselves.
After the speeches, commemorative plaques were awarded to individuals who had supported the event. This year, four people received commemorative plaques:
Vitéz Knight Pákh Imre, Deputy Grand Master
Vitéz Lieutenant Bogdán György
Prof. Dr. Vitéz Kruppa József
Vitéz Szabó Sándor (who was absent from the event and will receive his plaque later)
Following the plaque presentation, the entertainment began. Professional dancers showcased the dances of the old gala era, including the palotás. This was followed by a performance by the Sakk Matt Company Orchestra, which entertained and encouraged guests to dance throughout the evening with excellent music. The orchestra members were: Dervalics Róbert (clarinet), Szigeti Flóra (singer), Pingiczer Szilárd (pianist), Németh Kira (singer), and Miklós Szilvia (singer).
The excellent entertainment was followed by a dinner at 20:00. During the dinner, guests enjoyed the hotel's gastronomic specialties. This created a lively atmosphere, leading to delightful conversations and new connections being made.
After dinner, the highlight of the evening began—the dancing celebration. The Grand Master danced the opening waltz with his daughter, Vitéz Countess Regina Molnár-Gazsó, followed by other guests joining in. The ladies' dresses and the gentlemen’s formal attire created a picturesque scene. Throughout the dance, the men did their utmost to ensure the ladies felt comfortable, fulfilling their gentlemanly duty.
The evening concluded with a raffle and a charity art auction. The total amount raised from the raffle and the auctioned artwork will be used to support the Order of Vitéz's charitable activities and its assistance programs, helping more of our Hungarian fellow citizens in need.
It is certain that the Order of Vitéz's recognition and esteem are showcased through these community events. In addition to the large-scale Vitéz swearing-in ceremonies and gatherings in Budapest, there is a strong societal demand for the Order of Vitéz Galas, which continue to grow in prominence each year. Today, the Order of Vitéz Gala is once again one of the standout events in Hungarian gala culture.
God bless Hungary, God bless the Order of Vitéz!
