A Hungarian Miracle by the Lakeside – The First Family Weekend in Wales

More than just an event – a true homecoming.

That was the sentiment shared by many during the June weekend, when hundreds of Hungarian families gathered among the green hills of Spring Valley Lakes in Wales. A campsite that, for a few days, transformed into a Hungarian village. A gathering that could well become a tradition.

A place where the Hungarian language found a home

Spring Valley Lakes is already a popular destination for nature lovers and watersport enthusiasts, but this weekend it shone in an entirely new light: Hungarian flags, the aroma of traditional dishes, laughing children, friendly conversations, and a sense of community that is a rare treasure for those living abroad.

The campsite was almost completely full, with tents and caravans lined up all around the lake. Participants came from various parts of England, Scotland, and Wales – many meeting for the first time, yet speaking with one another as if they had been friends for years.
