National Commemoration - Manchester

15th of March 2025 – National Commemoration in Manchester
It was a great honor for us to celebrate in Manchester with over 200 guests and pay tribute to the heroes of the 1848-49 War of Independence!

The commemorative program was opened by a speech from Dr. László Riskó-Nagy, Consul General, followed by wonderful performances from three Hungarian weekend schools, Hungarian scouts, and traditional zither players.

As the closing act of the event, we sang the Hungarian national anthem together, strengthening our sense of unity and national identity.

It is always important for us to ensure that our children learn about Hungarian history, cherish their culture, and preserve their identity in the diaspora!
